"Tell me about a time you disagreed with a captain. How did you handle it?"
- StrongYou spoke up early and used the checklist to make your case.
- FixTwo minutes on the weather setup. Get to your decision in the first 30 seconds.
- FixSay how the flight ended and what you do differently now.
- TipNever call the captain "wrong." Say what you saw and what you asked for.
Like a mock panel, any time you want one.
Most pilots don't fail the interview on knowledge. They ramble, skip the result, or tell a story that raises a red flag. That's fixable with reps.
Pick your interview
Regional, ULCC or Part 135. HR, technical or a mix, 3 to 10 questions. Questions match your path and rotate so you don't memorize a script.
Answer out loud
The question is read to you. Answer with the mic, or type it. The panel can ask a follow-up, just like a real captain would.
Get a real debrief
A score and STAR check on every answer, what to fix first, and a stronger version built from your own facts.
Everything you need between the call and the class date.
Answer out loud, like the real thing
The panel reads each question aloud. Tap the mic and talk; your words appear as you speak. Interview mode runs hands-free: prop up your phone and go.
STAR feedback on every answer
Every "tell me about a time" answer is checked for Situation, Task, Action and Result, plus length, specifics and red flags. Candid, not cheerleading.
STAR story builder
Write rough notes about a real flight. Get back a tight, 90-second STAR story with a clear result and lesson. Your facts only, nothing invented.
Technical review
Weather, regs, instrument procedures, aero and general systems, with the FAR/AIM reference to check yourself against.
Readiness score
A running score from your recent interviews and your story bank, so you know when you're ready and what's left.
Unlimited, and made for your path
As many mock panels as you want, with questions for instructors heading to a regional or ULCC and for 135 pilots stepping up.
The structure every panel listens for.
"Tell me about a time..." questions decide most pilot interviews. Strong answers follow the same four beats. Class Date checks every one of them, every time.
Situation
One or two sentences of context. Where, when, what airplane.
Task
What you were responsible for, or the problem in front of you.
Action
What you did, step by step. The heart of the answer.
Result
How it ended and what you learned. The part most pilots forget.

Class Date was built by a working airline pilot who came up through Part 135. Interview prep shouldn't cost more than a month of instructor pay. Every question here was written for the interview you're about to have: regional, ULCC or 135.
Questions pilots ask
Is this connected to any airline?
No. Class Date is independent interview practice. We don't know any airline's private questions or hiring decisions, and we never claim to. We help you answer the kinds of questions every panel asks, well.
How is AI feedback useful for an interview?
Panels judge structure, specifics, ownership, length and red flags. The coach grades every answer against exactly that, points to the sentence that cost you, and shows a stronger version using your own facts. It's like a candid friend who's sat on a panel, available at 2 a.m.
Can I trust the technical answers?
The coach grades technical answers against the regulations and FAA handbooks and shows where to verify. AI can still be wrong, so treat it like a study partner, not the FAR/AIM. Always confirm against current regulations and your operator's manuals.
Will it write my answers for me?
No, and that's on purpose. Panels can spot a memorized script, and an invented story is a red flag. The story builder only uses what you tell it and marks the gaps for you to fill in.
Does it renew automatically?
Never. You pay once for 12 months. We'll email you two weeks before it ends, and you can add another year if you need it.
What's your refund policy?
If Class Date isn't helping, email hello@getclassdate.com within 7 days of buying for a full refund.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Phone, tablet or computer, in your browser. Answering out loud works in Chrome and Safari; you can always type instead.
Do you record my voice?
No. Your browser turns your speech into text on the spot, and only the text of your answer is saved so you can review it. No audio is stored.
What is the STAR method?
Situation, Task, Action, Result: the structure panels expect for "tell me about a time" questions. Class Date grades each part of every behavioral answer and helps you build STAR stories from your own experience.
